EXPERIENCE

Before joining Schlee, Huber, McMullen & Krause in March 2010, Brian practiced law as a solo practitioner. In that position, he obtained favorable resolutions to his clients’ legal issues in dozens of cases. He also served as a contract attorney for the firm, performing legal research and analysis for fire and explosion cases involving significant property damage and personal injury claims.

OF NOTE

In law school, Brian earned a place on the Dean’s list every semester while holding several positions, including Managing Editor for the UMKC Law Review, staff member for The Urban Lawyer, and Teaching Assistant for the UMKC Legal Writing Program.

Brian clerked for the firm while attending law school. During that time, he also clerked for the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Before entering law school, Brian served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserve, practiced as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri and Kansas, and practiced as an Environmental Health Specialist for the Unified Government of Wyandotte County / Kansas City, Kansas.
