David Schlee is one of the founding partners of the firm. He has been lead defense counsel in over 500 gas-related lawsuits, claims and investigations since 1987 in all parts of the United States. He has tried cases in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, New Jersey and the District of Columbia, and has handled litigation in 43 states. He has consulted with numerous gas suppliers regarding safety and litigation defense programs and policies, and is a frequent lecturer on gas litigation and safety issues.

A 1977 graduate of the Harvard Law School with a B.S. in business from the University of Kansas, Mr. Huber has practiced as a trial attorney in Kansas City for over 25 years. He is a member of the state bars of Missouri, Kansas, and California, the federal bars of the 8th Circuit and 10th Circuit Courts of Appeals and the District Courts of Western Missouri and Kansas. He has tried personal injury, wrongful death and commercial cases in Missouri, Kansas, California, Texas, Florida, Michigan, Georgia and Louisiana and has been the lead lawyer in major cases in over 30 states. He has also represented debtors, secured and unsecured creditors and creditors committees in bankruptcy cases in both Missouri and Kansas.

Mr. McMullen, one of the founders of the firm, has defended products liability cases across the United States. For the past twenty years, he has specialized in fire and explosion matters in over thirty states involving propane or propane related claims. He is a member of the Propane Gas Defense Association, and has written articles and spoken to propane industry organizations on accident investigation and litigation issues.

Mark F. Krause is a partner in Schlee, Huber, McMullen & Krause, P.C. Most of his work involves representing propane companies. Mark directs the investigations of explosions and fires for propane companies. He also analyzes the potential exposure of propane companies when explosions and fires occur at facilities serviced by propane companies.

John Provides effective and cost-efficient representation to a variety of product suppliers and manufacturers in catastrophic personal injury and property damage cases. John has developed a specific expertise in the defense of litigation involving gas fires and explosions and carbon monoxide poisonings. John has experience defending companies at all levels of distribution including retailers, wholesalers, shippers, suppliers and pipeline companies. John also regularly consults with companies, trade associations and insurance carriers on safety, warning and training issues.

Chris joined the firm as an associate in June 2001, and has over eight years of litigation experience. His current practice involves gas and liquid petroleum related actions. Earlier, he mainly practiced in the product liability area, representing primarily automobile manufacturers, but also manufacturers of a wide range of other products. He has also represented clients in motor vehicle liability and toxic tort actions. He is licensed and has actively practiced in Missouri, Kansas and Louisiana.

Mr. Eldridge has thirty-nine years experience in civil litigation on both trial and appellate court levels. He has tried cases in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, Texas and California, and litigated in state and federal courts in twenty-one states, in suits involving complex business and commercial disputes, including class actions and anti-trust claims, labor and employment, insurance coverage, intellectual property disputes, environmental issues and in defending products liability, toxic torts and public utility negligence claims. He has authored articles and lectured on products liability, employment, commercial and environmental law issues as well as civil practice and procedure.
